Be a Good Neighbor
We all want Carriage Hills to continue to be the beautiful and pleasant community that it is. Let's all do our part: trim shrubs and overhanging trees from the sidewalks, pick up after our pets, and dispose of litter and debris, both in your yard and in fhe street in front of your house.
Recycling/Trash Collection
Trash collection, recycling, and yard waste pickup in Carriage Hills currently occurs every Thursday. Please have your trash, recycling containers, and yard waste bags (marked with an "X") at the curb between 6:00 p.m. Wednesday and 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
To report a missed recycling or trash collection, please see the Anne Arundel County Missed Collection website or call them at (410) 222-6100 before 4:00 p.m. the day of or after 7:30 a.m. the morning after your missed collection.
Our regularly scheduled trash and recycling pickup changes from time to time when there is a holiday week. To see the 2022 Holiday Schedule, go to AA County 2022 Holiday Trash schedule.
Please store your trashcans so they are not visible from the street, either in the rear or along the side of your home, but not extending past the front corner of the house.
Sidewalk Repair
Homeowners are encouraged to keep their sidewalks safe for pedestrian traffic. Routine maintenance and repair of sidewalks is the responsibility of the abutting property owner, unless the County has damaged the sidewalk in some manner. If the sidewalk was damaged by the County and a tripping hazard exists, the sidewalk will be wedged. Total replacement of the sidewalk is dependent upon the severity of the problem and available funding.
Requests for repair of sidewalks damaged by the County should be directed to the appropriate road district. Road districts are open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A supervisor will investigate your concern and respond to you within one week (one day if it is a hazard) to advise you of a schedule for any needed work.
Architectural Improvements
All modifications made to the exterior of your property such as sheds, fences, additions, paintings, driveway extensions, etc. must be submitted in writing to the Architectural Committee at least 45 days prior to your anticipated start date for approval. Please email the Chairman, Mark Rose, at Mark.Rose@msn.com
